How much does it cost
to develop an app?
Select the features your app needs. Each feature carries the typical number of development hours it takes us; the estimate updates as you go.
Hours per feature,
times a UK rate.
The app cost estimator adds up the typical build hours for the features you pick and multiplies them by a blended UK rate. It is a starting point for a budget conversation, not a fixed price.
Typical hours per feature
Each feature carries the hours it usually takes us — for example e-mail login 12 hours, a shopping cart 40, a content management system 40. Your selection is summed, and we add 80 hours for project set-up, testing and launch.
An all-in £65–£70 per hour
Total hours are multiplied by £70 per hour — development, QA and product ownership included — the same rate used in the breakdown we email you. A developer alone is from £49 per hour; the range shows the same hours at £65–£70.
From estimate to fixed price
Real cost depends on design, platforms, integrations and compliance. We start with a free working prototype, then a two-week discovery sprint from £3,000 that ends in a fixed-price quote.

It depends on the features, platforms and integrations. At Magora a startup MVP starts from £10,000 and typically takes 6–8 weeks, a full production build starts from £30,000, and enterprise platforms from £80,000. Use the calculator above for a feature-by-feature estimate, or read our UK app development cost guide.
It is a rough guide. It adds up typical build hours per feature and does not know your design, platforms, integrations or compliance needs, which is where real projects differ. A discovery sprint from £3,000 turns the estimate into a fixed-price quote.

Yes. We start with a free working prototype built from your brief, then a two-week discovery sprint from £3,000 with a senior Product Owner and Solution Architect. It ends in a fixed-price quote, an architecture and a roadmap.
