What we offer

SaaS development
services.

Magora is a UK SaaS development company — a senior SaaS development agency based in Shoreditch, London. We design and build software-as-a-service products end to end — product strategy, multi-tenant architecture, subscription billing, integrations, AI features and the operations that keep them running — for startups, SMEs and enterprises.

01 — Strategy

SaaS product strategy & discovery

Who pays, for what, and how the product grows from ten customers to ten thousand. Pricing model, tenancy model, compliance scope and a costed roadmap before a line of production code.

02 — Build

Custom SaaS application development

Web app, admin console, customer portal and mobile companion apps where you need them — one codebase your team can own, in React, Vue, Laravel, Node.js or Python.

03 — Architecture

Multi-tenant platform engineering

Shared schema, schema-per-tenant or database-per-tenant, chosen for your customers rather than by habit. Tenant isolation is tested, not assumed, and enterprise customers can get their own region.

04 — Revenue

Subscription billing & monetisation

Plans, trials, seats, usage-based metering, proration, dunning and UK VAT — built on Stripe Billing and wired to entitlements, so a downgrade actually switches features off.

05 — Integrations

APIs, SSO & integrations

A public API your customers can build on, SSO via SAML and OIDC for enterprise buyers, and the integrations that close deals — CRM, accounting, payments, Slack and Microsoft 365.

06 — AI

AI SaaS features

Copilots, retrieval over your customers' own data, document extraction and agents that act inside the product — with per-tenant data boundaries and cost limits. See our AI and ML development work.

Who we build for

Three routes
into SaaS.

The same senior SaaS developers from kickoff to handover. Weekly demos. No offshore rotation.

Startups

Launching a new SaaS product

A production-grade SaaS MVP in 6–8 weeks, from £10,000: sign-up, billing, the one workflow customers pay for, and the foundations to grow without a rewrite.

SMEs

Turning expertise into a product

An internal tool, a spreadsheet the whole sector copies, a service you deliver by hand — rebuilt as subscription software other businesses can buy.

Enterprises

Moving software to SaaS

On-premise or single-customer systems re-platformed for many tenants — SSO, audit logs, data residency and a migration that keeps existing customers running.

SaaS development cost

What SaaS development
costs in the UK.

Our 2026 pricing in GBP. Every engagement starts with a free working prototype and an NDA on day one; source code and IP transfer to you on payment. Final price depends on scope, integrations and compliance — see our UK software development pricing or try the cost calculator.

£0

Free working prototype — a clickable version of your core SaaS workflow before any paid engagement.

Discovery sprint
from £3,000

Two weeks with a senior Product Owner and Solution Architect: scope, tenancy and billing model, architecture, estimate and roadmap.

Full SaaS platform
from £30,000

A complete multi-tenant web and mobile platform, admin console and integrations, built by our senior in-house team.

Enterprise SaaS
from £80,000

Multi-role, audit-logged, integration-heavy platforms with SSO, data residency and regulated-sector compliance.

Process

Six steps from idea
to paying customers.

Weekly demos on a staging environment you can log in to, so progress is something you use rather than something you are told about.

Step 01

Free working prototype

Before you commit

A clickable version of the core workflow, tested with real prospective users. It settles the "is this the right product" question before anyone is paid to build it.

Step 02

Discovery sprint

2 weeks

Pricing and packaging, tenancy model, integration list, compliance scope and a costed roadmap. You leave with a document you can take to investors — or to another supplier.

Step 03

Architecture & UX

Within discovery

Data model, tenant isolation, identity, billing and deployment decided up front, alongside the onboarding and account screens that decide whether a trial converts.

Tenant isolation Onboarding UX Cloud design
Step 04

MVP build

6 – 8 weeks

Two-week sprints with a working release at the end of each. Sign-up, billing and the paid workflow first; everything else earns its place in the backlog.

Sprints CI/CD Automated tests
Step 05

Launch & first customers

Go-live

Production hosting, monitoring, backups and product analytics in place before the first invoice goes out — so you can see where trials drop off from day one.

Step 06

Scale & iterate

Ongoing

Enterprise features as the customers who need them arrive — SSO, audit logs, custom roles, data residency — plus performance work as tenants and data grow.

Frequently asked

SaaS development
questions.

What is SaaS development?

SaaS (software as a service) development is building software that customers use in the browser or an app and pay for by subscription, instead of installing it themselves. Besides the product itself, it means building the parts a single-customer system never needs: multi-tenancy (many customers on one platform, with their data kept apart), subscription billing, self-service sign-up, user roles, and hosting that the vendor runs for everyone.

How much does it cost to build a SaaS product in the UK?

At Magora a SaaS MVP starts from £10,000, a full multi-tenant SaaS platform from £30,000, and enterprise SaaS with SSO, audit logs and regulated-sector compliance from £80,000 (2026 prices, GBP). A two-week discovery sprint is from £3,000, and the first step — a working prototype — is free. Running and developing the product after launch is typically £3,500–£9,000 a month.

The biggest price drivers are the number of integrations, the billing model and compliance (GDPR, FCA, NHS DSPT) rather than the number of screens.

How long does SaaS development take?

A production-grade SaaS MVP typically takes 6–8 weeks after a two-week discovery sprint. A full platform with admin tooling, integrations and mobile apps takes longer and is planned in phases, so paying customers arrive before the whole roadmap is finished.

Single-tenant or multi-tenant — which does my SaaS need?

Most SaaS products should be multi-tenant: one codebase and one deployment serving every customer, which keeps hosting and maintenance costs flat as you grow. The real decision is how data is separated — a shared schema with row-level isolation, a schema per tenant, or a database per tenant. Customers in regulated sectors sometimes need their own database or region, so we design for that option early even when it is not built on day one.

Can you turn our existing software into SaaS?

Yes. We re-platform on-premise and single-customer systems into multi-tenant SaaS — adding tenant isolation, sign-up, billing and SSO, and migrating existing customers without a big-bang cut-over. Where the old code cannot carry the load, we replace it module by module, as described in our enterprise application development work.

Can you add AI features such as GPT or Claude to a SaaS product?

Yes. We build AI SaaS features on large language models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google — assistants, search over a customer's own documents (RAG), data extraction and agents — with each tenant's data kept separate, usage capped per plan so AI costs cannot outrun revenue, and evaluation tests so quality does not drift between model versions.

Who owns the code and IP?

You do. We sign an NDA on day one, the code lives in your repository as it is written, and source code, designs and IP transfer to you on payment — which matters when investors run due diligence on your SaaS business.

How do you handle security and GDPR for SaaS?

Tenant isolation is covered by automated tests, personal data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and hosting can be kept in the UK or EU. Roles, audit logs and data-export and deletion tools are built in, so answering a customer's security questionnaire or a subject access request does not become a project of its own.
