A UK publisher of structured reading and spelling programmes had a well-established spelling workbook, Stareway to Spelling. It wanted the same methodology, exercises and outcomes as a web app, so that a parent, tutor or school could follow the programme without learning the book first.
The software had to do the tracking and guide the tutor through the right lesson at the right time, on any device with a browser.
