Magora Systems partnered with the leading Austrian web-portal to enliven their users’ mobile experience. The mobile version of the website Austria.com was expected to have plenty of mobile services to cater for those Austrians and tourists using the portal on the go. The services would encompass transportation, shopping, restaurant and other leisure apps.

The use of up-to-date technology and tools such as HTML5 styles, and jQuery Mobile components made the apps look nice on all types of devices and screen sizes. We used the Google Maps API to facilitate geo-location in the services. The backend of the app is built using PHP and parsing of Json/XML files.

We have delivered 6 social apps to our Austrian clients: Restaurant Guide: 

• Restaurant Guide: identifies a user’s geolocation, loads the restaurants by distance to current position, and shows their postal code, city, address and rating. A single restaurant page shows several details: general rating, address, phone number, personal email, category, extra categories and images. The address, phone number and email are clickable and a user can easily find this particular restaurant on the map, call them or send an email.

• Web cam service: has effectively organized all web-cams in all provinces of Austria into a search engine. Now it’s easy to find the needed web-cams, sort them and watch several live videos simultaneously.

• Shopping Guide: simplifies shop search in Vienna. It identifies a user’s geolocation and pulls up an organised list of nearby stores. Smart search by product type, rating and price makes this application even more convenient.
