Magora Systems received the task to develop a custom desktop application for an eminent photo and video hardware company. The main purpose of this software was to take photos and videos in “screen capture” mode and support their later printing /recording.

We’re proud of the Photobooth project, as we had the chance to work with a highly specialized technology. The application is based on the Canon EOS Digital SDK and built in .NET framework. Its rich functionality and visually appealing interface make the product fun to use. Due to integration with the graphics program ImageMagick, users can apply a variety of effects to single and / or to all pictures in photo mode . Another interesting mode is Flipbook. In all three modes the application works in live view, which makes it much more convenient to handle the application. There are options for test file printing, Autocut (as for specified printing format), Portrait (only for photo and flipbook modes) and Landscape screen. From the technical viewpoint, the software includes a password-protected admin dashboard with mode settings. All the parameters, effects, and print settings are loaded with config and SVG files to the dashboard.
