One of the leading US digital marketing agencies asked us to develop a web application. It was expected to form part of the worldwide promo campaign for the remake of a very popular TV series.
The task was to enable users to upload their own videos and integrate them into the trailer for the famous series.
Through the sharing of prank videos with friends, news of the upcoming remake will spread with minimal investments to a broader target audience and generate widespread discussion on a global scale.
Each user can upload up to 4 videos. These will then be automatically cut to four seconds in length before being integrated into the original video trailer. The replaced storyboard should be in sync with the rest of the music and video.
Special feature: the user’s name can be integrated into the video as well.
Our team was responsible for web design and the deployment of the project. All the work was completed within strict deadlines (1 quarter).
The technical side of the case was a very special story with lots of limitations, such as AWS MediaConvert integration, API Gateway with limits of 29 seconds, AWS CloudFormation
and Serverless approach implementation for easy NoOps deployment.*
*NoOps (no operations) is the concept there an IT environment can be automated and abstracted from the underlying infrastructure that there is no need for a dedicated team to manage software in-house.
