A UK app development company,
in one paragraph.
Magora is a UK mobile app development company based in London, building apps since 2010 with more than 500 digital products delivered and 75 verified Clutch reviews (4.7/5). We design and build iOS, Android and cross-platform apps, with the backend, admin and integrations behind them, for startups and businesses across the UK. Every project starts with a free working prototype, prices are published, and the code is yours from the first commit. If your app is a simple brochure or a form, a no-code builder may be enough, and we will say so.

How UK app development
companies compare.
What the UK market charges by type of supplier, per hour. Magora sits with the London product-engineering houses: from £49/hour per developer and £65–£70/hour for a full team with QA and product ownership.
| Who you are hiring | Typical rate |
|---|---|
| Offshore freelancers | £15–£30 / hour |
| Offshore agencies with a UK sales front | £25–£50 / hour |
| London product-engineering houses (Magora sits here) | £45–£90 / hour |
| Boutique London digital agencies | £60–£140 / hour |
| Tier-1 consultancies | £120–£250 / hour |
Same figures as in our UK app development cost guide. A cheaper quote for the same brief usually leaves out senior engineers, QA as a discipline or support after launch.

Mobile app development
questions.
At Magora a Startup MVP starts from £10,000 and takes 6–8 weeks, a full production iOS and Android app with backend and admin typically costs £25,000–£60,000 over 3–6 months, and regulated or integration-heavy apps start from £80,000. A free working prototype comes first, and Discovery from £3,000 turns the brief into a fixed price. See the UK app development cost guide.
Check five things: published prices or ranges before a sales call, a working prototype before a contract, who actually writes the code, whether you own the code and IP, and references you can verify, such as reviews on Clutch. Magora publishes its prices, builds a free prototype first and has 75 verified Clutch reviews with a 4.7/5 rating.
Yes. We are based in London and work with clients across the UK. Workshops run at our Shoreditch office or online, and the team keeps the same weekly demos and shared board wherever you are.
Cross-platform (React Native or Flutter) suits most business apps and keeps one codebase for iOS and Android. Native Swift and Kotlin are worth the extra cost for heavy device features, complex animation or hardware such as Bluetooth sensors. We recommend one after the free prototype, not before.
A working prototype takes 5–10 working days, Discovery two weeks, a first release (MVP) 6–8 weeks, and a full production app typically 3–6 months. App Store and Google Play review is planned into the launch week.
You do. We sign an NDA on day one, the code lives in your repository as it is written, and source code, designs and IP are transferred to you on payment.
